Mikron AC was created in 1908 in Biel Switzerland. And considered by many as the pioneer of High speed machining centre technology throughout the world.Originally it was making machines for the watch and clock industry of its native country, but over time has become one of the largest manufacturers of high-speed machining centre's and high-performance milling centres. In 1966 it made the first series of WFI, which was a universal tool milling machine. Mikron are now part of the Agie Charmilles Group. Mikron also see machining centers as Bostomatic in the US.
