The 600 Group PLC is the largest UK based machine tool manufacturer. 600 lathes is the UK arm dealing with Lathes for the UK and Europe, with 600 Machine Tools offering to Canada and the USA, and other smaller satellite companies offering services to Asia and other parts of the world. The 2 main brands within the UK based 600 lathes group are the Colchester lathe and the Harrison lathe, which were both born in the 19th century and acquired in the 20th by the 600 group. Both Colchester and Harrison offer a selection of manual and CNC controlled turning machines, and Colcherster also supplies slant be lathers to its customers. Both Companies work out of W. Yorkshire, in which the manufacturing facility for lathes is the largest lathe facitiry in Europe. Both companies are at the pinnacle of lathe technology which is a rarity in the British Manufacturing Industries.

More on the 600 Group, as well as Colchester and Harrison Lathers, they also own Crawford Collets, Pratt Burnerd chucking systems and Electrox laser machines. Colchesters range of lathe's include the Tornado and Harrison's the Alpha. Of Electrox (Parat) - there is currently the Cobra in three model currently on release to industry.
